This course is held in Finnish.
A quiet mindfulness retreat allows you to stop, see the essentials, and find your resources. It’s a great opportunity to renew and strengthen your mindfulness training. The retreat is suitable for anyone who is interested in their well-being and quality of life.
- Do you need space in your life to breathe, relax and renew?
- Do you want to strengthen your ability to enjoy life to the fullest?
- Do you want to deepen and diversify your mindfulness training?
A quiet mindfulness retreat allows you to do all of this. In silence, you can find the best resources for yourself. Our bodies and minds can renew and find their natural balance. During the retreat, we can also get to know our own minds more deeply than usual and identify patterns of thought and emotion. We can then let go of what may still prevent the best from coming forward in us.
The retreat program consists of guided practice moments as well as quiet meditation sections. For mindfulness exercises, we use sitting meditation, body meditation, walking meditation, and simple yoga that requires no previous experience. There is also time for your own pursuit and enjoyment of nature. The beautiful surroundings of the Elontuli course center provide a good setting for quieting and looking inwards.
The retreat is suitable for both experienced meditators and beginners. It’s good if you’re a little familiar with mindfulness, vipassana, or zen meditation, or some similar meditation method, but it’s not necessary. During the retreat, you may wish to make an appointment with the instructor to discuss your experience or exercise.
The retreat is directed by Antti-Juhani Wihuri, mindfulness instructor CFM. He has nearly 30 years of experience in various meditation methods as well as long experience in guiding meditation and retreats. He also regularly participates in longer silent meditation retreats.
The retreat begins on Friday at 18:00 and ends on Sunday at 16:00.
